The Rolex Cellini ref. 3607 belongs to the early generation of Cellini dress watches. Produced around the 1960s, it uses a compact 18ct white-gold case and a manually wound movement, reflecting the period when Rolex was establishing Cellini as its dedicated non-Oyster dress-watch collection.

Its small proportions and precious-metal construction give it a very different presence from later Rolex models. Rather than trying to be sporty or robust, the 3607 is deliberately intimate and formal.

It is an Icon because the 3607 captures the original idea behind Cellini: a small, precious and unmistakably formal Rolex.
